The Data Protection Act
Alert Limited is registered under the Data Protection Act registration
number Z920744X and takes the privacy and security of its members'
data seriously.
Selling of information
We do not disclose any of your information to any third
party, except in the event of you raising an alert, at which point
we will disclose any relevant personal information to the relevant
emergency services if this is deemed necessary.
Members identity
Whenever you subscribe to any of our services, the personal information
entered into our secure database by your or any of your members
will be printed and posted to the address of each person involved
as part of our standard information pack. The person will have to
sign that the data is correct, sign the terms and conditions and
return copies of both to us before we can activate the service.
This process is necessary to ensure that people are who it is claimed
they are, and that they live at the registered address.
Special notes for employees
If your employer has paid for your subscription
it is important to note that at no point can the employer
access your personal information, and at no point
can your employer track your whereabouts via our systems. This is
to protect the integrity of our systems and your privacy. These
points also apply if you leave the employer's employment. At no
point will the employer be able to access your personal
information after you have left their employment - they will merely
'de-activate' you as a member from their list of subscribing members.
